Jungle City Collective is a diverse crew of dance performers, choreographers and creators based in Naarm who have come together to share their collective knowledge of street dance cultures including; Jamaican Dancehall, Afro Fusion, and Hip Hop, to build stronger creative outcomes and opportunities for dancers in this space. Through performance, entertainment and education they promote the importance of always respecting and practicing dance with acknowledgement of the roots, culture and creators.

Robert Gourlay is a live-action commercial photographer and videographer based in Naarm (Melbourne). Specializing in dynamic and unpredictable scenarios, Robert draws inspiration from his passion for sports like longboarding and rock climbing. He excels in challenging environments, whether perched on cliff tops or navigating the shadows of dark nightclubs. His goal is to capture these moments to inspire communities dedicated to mastering their crafts.

You'll see him around capturing moments at this years South East Area Throwdown!

Trevor is a Melbourne based videographer and video editor. Prior to video making, Trevor has and continues to exercise his skills in street photography and dance, in particular breaking. With the combination of these two interests, the transition to video was smooth and has been an outlet for Trevor to share his authentic perspective on Melbourne’s dance culture.

Hailing proudly from the Philippines, Demi Sorono a self taught B-girl (breakdancer) and Hip Hop dancer definitely made her mark as one of Australia's favourite dancers on "So You Think You Can Dance 2008". When it comes to performing on stage, she is a force to be reckoned with. A devoted mum to her 10 year old son, she still manages to teach, perform, barber and massage. Demi is a pocket rocket who exudes an energy that is infectious and a commitment to her craft that can only be described as utterly fearless!

Mind Over Mutant stands as a vibrant hub for krump enthusiasts, dancers and krumpers. The guiding force behind Mind Over Mutant consists of experienced and accomplished mentors—Troi, Shiona (YG XIII and Woosh), and Aleena (Artimez/Apollo and Lil Antagonize).

Their collective experience and victories in international and regional tournaments set the stage for a transformative journey for those under their mentorship. This team continues to stay dedicated to empowering emerging artists and practitioners, particularly in the Burncity community.

Our AMAZING DJ for the night! DJ Fuzilla!!

DJ Fuzilla is a Melbourne DJ, based in the South East.

Coming from the small Island of Timor-Leste (East Timor) with Portuguese history and having grown up in Australia, his influenced by the rhythms & sounds from the Islands and the golden eras of Hip Hop & R&B. In 2019, he visited Trinidad in the Caribbeans, attending the week long Carnival party and adding Soca music to his diverse collection.

Expect a wave of everything from Hip Hop, Soca, Dancehall, R&B, Afrobeats, Baile Funk & plenty of heavy edits - bringing that Monster Sound!

Emy Zaluzna is an emerging RnB, Dance, and Pop artist known for her mesmerizing vocals and dynamic stage presence. Influenced by legends like Mariah Carey, Mya, and Janet Jackson, she blends soulful melodies with infectious beats to create a unique musical style.

Growing up between Australia, Switzerland, and England, Emy's passion for diverse music developed early. Her powerful voice and captivating performances quickly gained recognition. Inspired by the 90s and 00s, Emy's relatable lyrics, catchy hooks, and vibrant energy define her music.

Currently, she is working on projects that honour these nostalgic sounds with a contemporary twist, aiming to leave a lasting impact on the music industry as a rising star.
