Kang-o-meerteek (Dhauward Wurrung for ‘mountain to sea’) is a public art project about cultural stories and meeting places in Narrawong. A major Indigenous sculpture will be installed on Mt Clay while in the Narrawong township artists and community will work towards making a place to gather. Information sharing and smaller community based art projects are conducted through Cre8ive Narrawong, the K

ang-o-meerteek fringe, on the 4th Friday of each month. The project will celebrate the history and culture of the First Nation in the area, the Gunditjmara People. The Narrawong Kang-o-meerteek Small Town Transformation acknowledges the Kart Gunditj and Gilgar Gunditj who are the original custodians of the land on which this project takes place, and pays its respect to all past and present members of the Dhauwurrd Wurrung Language Group and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
