Happy Mother’s Day from VRA Rescue NSW

Today, we honour and celebrate the incredible mothers across our service — those who protect, rescue, lead, and love with unwavering strength.

Whether you’re a mother responding to the call, supporting your family from behind the scenes, or raising the next generation of heroes, we thank you. Your dedication to both your loved ones and your community embodies the true spirit of service and sacrifice.

To all the mums wearing the VRA Rescue uniform, and to the families who support them — thank you. We are grateful for everything you do, every single day.

Happy Mother’s Day.

Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women—past and present—who have served our nations with distinction.

At VRA Rescue NSW – Narrabri, we proudly acknowledge the legacy of the ANZACs. Their commitment to service, mateship, and resilience continues to inspire our volunteers every day.

As we attend local commemorations, we remember those who never returned and those who came home forever changed. We also reflect on the values that unite us as a community—service, sacrifice, and solidarity.

Lest We Forget.

🧗‍♂️ VERTICAL RESCUE – WARRUMBUNGLES 🧗‍♂️

Earlier this afternoon , Narrabri VRA Rescue was responded to support our colleagues from VRA Rescue NSW – Coonabarabran Rescue Squad in a Vertical Rescue operation deep in the Warrumbungle National Park.

Our team will work alongside fellow VRA volunteers in rugged terrain to provide technical rescue capabilities in a challenging and remote environment. This is a great example of inter-squad cooperation and the strength of our volunteer network across NSW.

We’re proud to support our neighbouring squads whenever the call comes in. Great work to everyone involved.

🌧️ Flooding Update from VRA Rescue NSW - Narrabri 🌧️

As many of you are aware, Narrabri has been significantly impacted by flooding in recent days. Yesterday, our VRA shed experienced rising floodwaters, with approximately two feet entering the building. Despite these challenges, our dedicated members, along with support from other squads, came together today to restore normality and ensure we maintain our operational capabilities.

We are incredibly grateful for the teamwork and resilience shown by everyone involved. Our focus remains on serving the community and ensuring safety during this difficult time.

Stay safe, and we appreciate the ongoing support from the community. We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.

Tonight, our dedicated team focused on the maintenance of our powered tools, including hydraulics and petrol-powered equipment like chainsaws and quick cut saws. 🔧⚙️

Here’s one of our members putting the quick cut saw through its paces to ensure it’s ready for action when we need it most! 💪✨

A big thank you to everyone for their hard work and commitment to keeping our equipment in top shape. Together, we’re always prepared to serve our community!

Stay safe and keep training! 🚒💚
