Libertys Booting 2026 ☀️

Recently we said goodbye to our lovely Liberty! Liberty has been a dedicated and passionate member of Platabeen since 2019.

Liberty has been apart of 1st Collaroy Plateau Scout Group since she was 8 and hasn’t looked back.

Platabeen is really going to miss her vibrant and positive energy! 💕

The time has come for Amelia to get the Boot!
malone joined the Scouting movement as a little Joey at 1st Mona Vale, where she earned her Challenger Award, before becoming a Cub, Scout and Venturer at 1st Collaroy Plateau, completing both her Grey Wolf Award and Queen’s Scout Award. So it’s safe to say she’s been around for a while! She has been an absolute rock in the Crew, holding various positions on Unit Council, including PR, Secretary, VLO and Service, as well as at the Region level as Social Activities Coordinator. She was our fundraising queen (thanks for all those drinks!) and was always the first to suggest an outdoor adventure, whether it was canyoning, white-water kayaking or skiing. She was also part of the team that won Best activity on DragonSkin and was awarded Most Outstanding Rover in 2022.

When we asked Amelia about her favourite Rover memory, she said:
“Probably Portugal Moot. It was an incredible week of canyoning, swimming in beautiful waterholes, exploring the small town of São Pedro do Sul, and making amazing friendships with people from all around the world. We went stargazing, hiked to the remote and uninhabited village of Drave (which has now been adopted, restored and preserved by the Portuguese Rovers) and experienced its fascinating history, magical views and hidden waterfalls. Oh, and of course, the lifelong besties I’ve gained along the way.”

We’re so sad to lose you to the boot, but we’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve brought to the Crew.

Lest we forget.
At dawn, we pause to remember those who served, sacrificed, and never returned. As the first light breaks, we reflect on their courage, their mateship, and the freedoms we carry forward because of them.
