CURRALL STREET IS COMING TO LIFE!

Our Streets Alive project is taking another exciting step forward, with vibrant new road murals coming to Currall Street from 23–31 October 2026.

Following community workshops and feedback, artists from Blank Walls will bring two unique murals to life, celebrating Narembeen’s identity, heritage and community spirit.

What you need to know:
🧹 23–24 October: Road preparation
🎨 26–30 October: Mural painting
🚗 Temporary road closures, detours and restricted access will remain in place until 31 October while the protective sealant cures.

📍 Access to the Recreation Centre and precinct will be via northern Currall Street or Latham Road, while the Caravan Park and Swimming Pool will be accessed via southern Currall Street. Please follow all signage and signed detours.

🖌️ Want to get involved? A limited number of community members will have the opportunity to help paint alongside the Blank Walls artists! Register your interest with the Narembeen CRC by Monday 19 October. Places are limited!

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation while we bring this exciting project to life. The temporary disruption will be worth it as we make Currall Street a more colourful, vibrant and welcoming part of our town! 🌻

Please refer to the accompanying traffic management map for detours and access arrangements.

We had our first Stay on Your Feet session today as part of Mind Your Step Month, and it was fantastic to see such a great turnout!

A big thank you to Sufian (Rana), WACHS Health Promotion Officer, for travelling over and sharing valuable information and practical tips on how to make our homes safer and reduce the risk of trips and falls.

Next week, we're fortunate to have Hyden-based physiotherapist Jenna Mouritz joining us to discuss ways to keep our bodies strong and maintain our independence and safety at home.

We look forward to seeing everyone there! To assist with catering, please register your interest with the CRC by calling 9064 7055. 😊

All sessions will commence at 10 am.
