Caring Beyond the Hospital Door
Throwback Thursday
Did you know that in the early days of the CWA, country women and children travelling to Adelaide for medical treatment often arrived knowing no one in the city?
Members met them at the train station, escorted them to hospital, visited them during their stay, helped arrange accommodation when needed, and ensured they made it safely home again.
This remarkable service required countless volunteer hours and demonstrated the true spirit of caring and community.
Nearly a century later, the importance of supporting people through illness and recovery remains just as relevant.

Today we had a workshop making bird cages for the garden or patio.

What a great afternoon of laughter and making our bird cages. 🐦

Thank you to Rosalie for running the workshop.

Everyone had a lovely afternoon of working together to help each other out when needed an extra pair of hands.

All we very happy to take home their bird cage.

Another great crocheting last night at Limestone Ladies SACWA.

Limestone Ladies SACWA meeting and crocheting tomorrow night Wednesday night 3rd June.

Meeting at 6.30pm and then we will continue with our crocheting at 7pm.

Please bring along what you have been working on since our last meeting and if you are new this week Kelly had some spare kits for sale at $25.00.
