Today the regional chambers are meeting with the Premier and other ministers to discuss the opportunities and challenges of doing business in the regions.

Last night was a great example of this as the Nannup Chamber of Commerce hosted guests from Nannup and the surrounds. Guided by Peter Kenyon we workshopped ideas on how working as collective small towns in the region we can all benefit.

SEVEN GRAVEL RACE - COMMUNITY DEBRIEF

Community members are invited to attend the event debrief to share feedback and help shape future events—including preparations for the UCI Gravel World Championships.

At this session, we’ll discuss:
✅ Event operations and logistics – trading hours, road closures, parking, traffic management, camping and site activations
✅ Key precinct planning – Town Square, Main Street, Adina Farm and broader community activation
✅ Communication and future improvements – neighbourhood notifications, lessons learned and planned changes for October

🌟 What a weekend it was! The Seven Gravel Race on Saturday May 16 Nannup was buzzing as more than 2,000 riders and visitors rolled into town for the SEVEN Gravel Race—bringing energy, connection and real opportunities for our community.

Our local groups were right at the heart of it:
✅ Nannup Primary School P&C raised nearly $4,000 through event parking
✅ Lions Club of Nannup and the Cundinup Progress Association kept everyone fuelled with popular sausage sizzles
✅ Other groups contributed and benefited through Containers for Change

It’s a great reminder of what can be achieved together and showcasing Nannup on a world stage.

Members - please share your thoughts and experiences around the current fuel situation. Collating feedback to provide to government

RCCIWA Survey - Impacts of Fuel Supply Restrictions

RCCIWA and our members are working closely with Government to advocate for support for regional businesses in WA who are currently being impacted by the Fuel restrictions. We know this is a critical concern for so many regional businesses and their communities in WA, as well as our members and we are collectively acting swiftly and strongly to ensure the voice of business in regional WA is heard.

To assist with this, we have prepared a short survey for regional businesses to participate in. We are only opening this survey for six days as it is an urgent issue and we want to feed back the results to Government asap. Closing at 5pm Tuesday March 24th.

We encourage regional businesses in WA to complete the survey. Please share with your networks.

Thank you to all businesses and residents who have created a bit of Christmas spirit by putting up lights and decorations.

Thanks to NCCI & supported by the Shire of Nannup prizes were offered for the best Nannup Christmas Lighrs Didplay. NCCI representatives headed out early last week and judged the displays, awarding the best lights as below.
