On the 6th of December, we held our annual March Out and Dining In Night. This event marked a significant occasion in our calendar, bringing together cadets, staff, distinguished guests and families to celebrate the achievements and progress made throughout the year. The evening provided an opportunity to formally acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our cadets, as well as to foster camaraderie and esprit de corps within the unit.
We were honoured to host several esteemed guests at our March Out and Dining In Night. Amongst those in attendance was the SQLD BDE Commander, COL Arthur Tsamis who served as the Reviewing Officer for the evening. We also welcomed MAJ(AAC) Richard Cramp, the Commanding Officer of 14BN, who joined us to recognise the efforts and achievements of our cadets. In addition, representatives from the Nanango RSL Sub Branch, Peter and John, attending the event, underscoring the strong ties between our unit and the broader community. Their presence added to the significance of the occasion and was greatly appreciated by all involved.
The parade serves as a showcase of the skills and abilities that cadets have developed over the course of the year. It is an opportunity for cadets to demonstrate their proficiency, discipline and teamwork in front of their staff, distinguished guests and families. The event not only reflects the cadets' commitment to personal growth and improvement but also highlights the collective progress of the unit.
During the parade, cadets were formally recognised by their peers for their excellence. A number of awards were presented to acknowledge outstanding performance, dedication and leadership. These honours celebrate the achievements of individual cadets and reinforce the values of hard work and perseverance within the group.
