πΏMacksville High School Celebrates 75 Wonderful Years!πΏ
On Saturday, 4th October, Macksville High School marked its 75th anniversary with a delightful high tea event. Past and present students, staff, and community members came together to commemorate this significant milestone in public education.
This celebration was the third community event held throughout the year in honour of 75 years of public education. The stadium was beautifully adorned with flowers and memorabilia, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
The day was filled with inspiring speeches and shared stories of fond memories, highlighting academic and sporting achievements, notable alumni, and the many changes the school has experienced over its rich history.
Traditions were reflected upon alongside moments of lighthearted fun.
A special highlight was 97-year-old Beatrice Fuller cutting the anniversary cake, while former principal Peter OβNeill rang the old school bell, echoing the schoolβs enduring spirit. Some guests enjoyed a guided tour of the school led by current principal Sheree Burnham, deepening their connection to Macksville High.
Each attendee left with a Macksville High School gift bag filled with wonderful goodies-a small token of appreciation from the school community.
Beautiful company, beautiful music, beautiful food, and a beautiful school made this day truly memorable. Huge thanks to Jess at Vintage Hitch Events for the delicious catering and flawless attention to detail, and to C2C Event Hire for the charming cottage garden-themed furniture.
