Who's been cutting onions?! Our wonderful volunteers chopped 20+ KILOS of onions all day Friday so we could raise money for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library at our Maroochydore Bunnings sausage sizzle last Sunday!

They said there were many tears. Many more tears today for Dolly.

What a wonderful human! And a wonderful legacy! As longtime appreciators of Dolly's music, movies, humanitarian efforts, humour, kindness and amazing personal style- we have been proud to host Dolly Parton's Imagination Library- gifting free books to our littlest community members in her name.

Her passing feels too soon for someone who should have lived forever! But she will in this. If you would like to direct some love in her name today please consider donating to our program so we can reach more children with her generous gift of the Imagination Library.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Dolly Parton, who died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee, aged 80.

Dolly’s extraordinary life touched generations through her music, her warmth and humour, and her unwavering commitment to helping others. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, her belief that every child deserves the chance to grow up surrounded by books has reached millions of children around the world.

Thank you for helping us honour Dolly’s extraordinary legacy by continuing the work she cared so deeply about putting books into the hands and homes of children here in Nambour and around the world.

Roo Knows Blue’ is the first book children receive from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Australia. Babies can enjoy the vibrant illustrations and rhythmic story, while older children can join in Roo’s colour play and help “read” the book.
