Parent to Parent Qld

Parent to Parent Qld Parent To Parent believes people are supported best by others who have similar life experiences.

So lovely to catch up with the Loud and Clear Qld and Parent to Parent Qld crew from the Sunshine Coast at Parliament House during Budget Week.

As the Shadow Minister for Disability Services, hearing the personal lived experiences of Queenslanders living with disability and their carers is absolutely critical.

The LNP budget didn’t provide a lot of clarity for the disability sector but these men and women continue to advocate for their rights.

We are in the middle of the biggest changes to the NDIS since it began.

The next Disability Dialogue event on Wednesday 24 June at 1pm (AEST) will discuss changes to the NDIS.

Inclusion Australia CEO Maeve Kennedy and Policy Officer Luke Nelson will be two of the speakers.

The event will focus on:

What does the future of employment look like in our community? 🌟

Recently, P2P proudly hosted the Gladstone Disability Forum 2026 - A Future 4 U: Employment in Our Community, bringing together 60 attendees passionate about creating more inclusive employment opportunities for people with disability.

The forum provided a valuable opportunity for local employers, service providers, community members, and people with disability to connect, share ideas, and explore practical ways to build a more inclusive workforce across the Gladstone region.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed to the discussions, and helped make the event such a success. Together, we're creating pathways to meaningful employment and stronger, more inclusive communities.

The Gladstone Disability Forum was proudly supported by Gladstone Regional Council’s Councillor Discretionary Fund.
