🌿 Hands-on habitat restoration morning at Topi Topi! 🌿

Join us on Wednesday 9 September for a practical walk, talk and w**d session tackling bushland restoration challenges — including the ever-tricky Madeira Vine.

We’ll kick off with morning tea and a group check-in from 9.30am, then head out for a hands-on session with spare regen tools provided. Bring your bush regen questions, ideas and a bit of w**d-whacking energy! 💪🌱
We’ll wrap up with a BBQ lunch and finish around 1.30pm.

Hi folks,

Join Barray Alliance Worimi Rangers and Community Volunteers on Friday 4th September as we continue our regeneration efforts along Pennington Creek, around and upstream of the Forster Community Garden site. 🌿🌳🌳

We'll be following up and expanding environmental w**d work and tending our recent planting areas - BYO favourite tools, or use our spare toolbelts.

Morning tea will be provided. 🧁🍇

👀👣 Check out the progress of new work underway on Forster Neighbourhood Centre's project to reinstate the Forster Community Garden, with water, power and foundations already underway for a multi-purpose community shelter shed on the old site.

We have an upcoming Landcare/Coastcare workshop in Old Bar in September!

MidCoast2Tops Landcare Connection is hosting a Climate Ready Adaptation Workshop at Old Bar focusing on Littoral Rainforest. This workshop will be a practical day of learning, led by restoration expert, Peter Dixon, and meteorologist, Graham Creed. We will touch on the basics of climate science and best practice ecological restoration before heading out into the field to observe the real-world effects of climate change on the Littoral Rainforest at Old Bar – including the visible effects of coastal erosion; Littoral Rainforest Die-back; w**ds and other human-related impacts. We will discuss how we can safeguard the values of our Manning Coastcare GROUP sites and build climate resilience.

You will be given practical restoration tips that support ecosystem functionality and resilience recovery, which you can then apply in your own projects.

This informative workshop is free for all MidCoast2Tops, Hunter Regional Landcare and Manning Coastcare Members, but places are limited. Non-members are also welcome to attend, but a small booking fee will be charged.

📍Where: Old Bar Soldiers Memorial Hall (+ excursions to littoral rainforest sites)
