On 18 August, we commemorate Vietnam Veterans' Day on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in 1966.

We remember the sacrifices of those who died and say thank you to almost 60,000 Australians who served during the 10 years of our involvement in the Vietnam War.

Just a quick reminder to all of tonights festivities – Hotdogs, Football and Darts. For those who wish to stay after tonights Social gathering we will be watching the Swans v Bulldogs on our new big TV.

For $5 we will supply as many Hotdogs as you wish and will spice up half-time with a quick game of Darts for those who are interested.

Feel free to wear your Footy colours, no matter who you barrack for (even Collingwood if that’s how you roll 😊😊😊)

We stand with Kaye and Doug Baird, OAM in supporting the important work they do to preserve the legacy of Cam Baird VC MG.

It is deeply disappointing and we understand many in the veteran community are also disappointed by the decision to remove the small amount of funded support and the impact it is having on Doug and Kaye.

We have experienced directly the great work done when Doug came to Wodonga a few years ago and spoke with local veterans and families. Doug has spent years supporting veterans, families and communities across the country and this should continue to be supported. Doug and Kaye should still be respected and supported in continuing to tell Cameron’s story and share the values he demonstrated.
