The day promises a program of inspiring talks, hands-on activities for all ages and a friendly atmosphere in a peaceful autumn garden setting. Perfect for a family outing just one week before Mother’s Day.

Following its success as the 2025 Community Event of the Year, the Adelaide Hills Garden Affair is expanding significantly. The event will feature additional garden-related market stalls spilling onto Euston Road, new food vendors, and an enhanced Inspiration Hub. This hub will host experts sharing knowledge and positive skills focused on gardening in changing climate conditions.

Thanks to partner Neutrog Australia, we welcome Sophie Thomson as key note speaker in our exciting Speaker Program. Sophie is SA's ever-popular and passionate horticulturalist, author, and popular ABC Gardening Australia presenter and talkback radio host.

Marking the special Camellia planted by Her Excellency Frances Adamson, Governor of SA, to commemorate the inaugural Adelaide Hills Garden Affair of 2024, a plaque was today installed in pride of place. Digging in were some of the AHGA organising committee, Sue Beckoff, President Elizabeth Dobson, Jan Ball, Jane Cathcart and Barb Field with Merilyn Kruchel (third from left) of the National Trust SA and Wendy Azadegan (far right) representing the Camellia Society SA.
Visitors to the next AHGA Event in 2026 can check out the progress of this especially selected autumn flowering Sasanqua Camellia.

Wander the gardens and remember the spectacularly successful inaugural Garden Affair event last year, or imagine the buzz in these beautiful gardens filled with like-minded enthusiastic gardeners, gardening experts, businesses and organisations next year.

Winner! The Adelaide Hills Garden Affair has been awarded the Adelaide Hills Council Australia Day Awards ‘Community Event of the Year’! Community involvement was a key to the success of this inaugural event held in May 2024. Winning this award is exciting and an endorsement of the vision and hard work and of around 500 community members; volunteers, elected members and government representatives, hundreds of Garden Clubs and Societies' members, community groups, local businesses in addition to the thousands of gardening enthusiasts who attended. This new gardening event made a lasting positive impact for the Adelaide Hills Community and the relationships it fostered.
It will be a hard act to follow but the organising committee is enthusiastic and full of ideas for next year's Adelaide Hills Garden Affair on Sunday 3rd May 2026 amongst the autumn spectacle of Stangate House and Gardens in Aldgate– Save the date.
