On Friday 7th August Upper Hunter Homeless Support will be hosting a community BBQ in Simpson's Park, Muswellbrook between midday and 2:00pm.
We are inviting you, the community, to join us and help us mark Homelessness Week 2026.
Our work with people who are experiencing homelessness is very much a collaboration between service providers, businesses and individuals, all of whom do their part.
We will be providing sausage sandwiches and drinks. Our young friends from Muswellbrook High School Official will be helping out with the catering 🙏
There will be information on our service available and our local partner community services will also be there.
Donations: Should you be looking to help, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable foods, toiletries and kitchen essentials. For more information on how to help UHHS and our clients please visit upperhunterhomeless.org.au

“Saving local lives” is the goal of the Rotary Men’s Health Education Rural Van (mherv), which is coming to Muswellbrook next week with the support of the Rotary Club of Muswellbrook.

TUESDAY 4 AUGUST & WEDNESDAY 5 AUGUST
9.30AM to 4.15PM

For more than six years, the mherv Project has travelled across regional and rural NSW, offering free health checks to people who may not have seen a doctor for many years. During that time, blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol can rise to dangerous levels without obvious symptoms—until a heart attack or stroke occurs.
The service is provided in a relaxed, confidential and informal setting. A mherv registered nurse conducts the tests and discusses any health concerns privately inside the van.
mherv screenings have saved lives and improved health outcomes.
Take the opportunity to have a quick, free health check. Just ten minutes with mherv could save your life—or the life of someone you love.

Muswellbrook Rotary Club celebrated the annual changeover of the Executive Team at Muswellbrook Workers Club on Thursday, 11 June.
We are immensely grateful to Rod Scholes, Kim Reichel, and Leola Leggett for their service to the club in 2025-2026 and we congratulate Matt Jeans, John Morrison, and Alyson Smith as our leadership team for 2026-2027.
Muswellbrook Rotary Club were also delighted to make our donation to the Maitland Health Stays project with Maitland Rotary Club.

Muswellbrook Rotary Club meets at the Muswellbrook Workers Club on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 6.00pm for 6.30pm.
