Grow & Share

Grow & Share Grow and Share Murbah provides high quality fruit and veggies to those who need it and currently can’t afford it.

It does this by collecting excess produce from gardeners plus we grow some - all produce is distributed by Murwillumbah Community Centre. The Grow and Share Murbah movement is providing high quality, locally grown produce to those in our community who need it most. We do this through the Murwillumbah Community Centre (MCC) who provide:
• Support to individuals and families in need
• Emergency assi

stance in the form of food parcels
• Free community meals
• Community access to low-cost food through the “Food Hub”
Locally grown fruit and vegetables offers a fantastic way to enhance the nutritional value of meals in a cost constrained world, while also reducing waste and transport requirements. How do our supporters help us:
• If you grow your own vegetables and can you spare some excess produce we’d love to pick it up and get it into the right hands through the MCC.
• In other ways by providing a little time you can assist with growing and harvesting at the Murwillumbah Community Garden or collecting and taking produce to the Murwillumbah Community Centre from our “veggie donors”? For all of the above, please contact us through this page or: [email protected]

We’ve had a great start on ‘24 with all the support from volunteers and Murwillumbah Community Garden enabling us to supply at least a box of veggies a week over the last 3 months - thank you all. Here’s to 2025 and drop us a note if you can help out or want to know more. Remember - no $$ needed!
