🎼 DID YOU KNOW? 🎼

The historic pipe organ inside St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church has a survival story that sounds like a movie! 🌊🎹

Before it became a musical heart of Murwillumbah, this incredible instrument had a long journey and faced a near-catastrophic disaster.

Here is its incredible timeline:
1884: Built in Melbourne, serving communities down south for decades.
1924: Safely packed up and moved to its permanent home right here in Murwillumbah.
1954: A catastrophic flood threatened to destroy the organ entirely as waters rose through the church.
1955: Thanks to a massive community effort, the organ was saved from the water, completely rebuilt, and elevated safely into the choir loft where it sits today!
The best part? Over 140 years after its pipes were first crafted, it is still making music and is still in active use today!

🛡️ Help Us Protect This Living History
