Murwillumbah Sporting Car Club Murwillumbah Sporting Car club. Supporting motor racing on the Tweed.

The club was formed in April 2018 after a meeting of motorsport enthusiasts who wished to see a more competition based motorsport in the Tweed Shire. Since then our members have participated in motorkanas, navigation runs, social events, go karts, hill climbs, super sprints and the Challenge Bathurst series. Our club works closely with other car clubs, including the Gold Coast Tweed Motorsport Club and the Z Car Club Qld to provide a varied motorsport calendar throughout the year.

Been sitting on the fence with this one for a bit… with everything going on lately and currently being off the road, I honestly didn’t think I’d make it.

But… I’ve been made an offer I couldn’t refuse — a spare seat for Saturday 😏

This one hits a bit closer to home than most. Living in a smaller country town and being around plenty of rural blokes, you see it… the quiet battles, the bottled-up thoughts, the “she’ll be right” attitude. I’m guilty of it myself. We’re all pretty good at pretending everything’s fine.

That’s why what these guys are doing matters.

A bit of mateship, a laugh around the fire, checking in on your mates — it goes a long way. Sometimes more than people realise.

So if you’re heading out, come say g’day, have a yarn, and get around a cause that actually makes a difference 👊
