Tweed Shire Council and the NSW Reconstruction Authority are developing the South Murwillumbah Master Plan to create a shared vision for the future of the South Murwillumbah and Murwillumbah Railway Station precincts.

Informed by community feedback, the plan will guide future land uses, including land voluntarily purchased through the Resilient Homes Program following the 2022 floods, helping build a safer, stronger and more resilient community.

🚨 NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT TEST β€” MONDAY 27 JULY 🚨

At 2pm this Monday, a national test of Australia’s new AusAlert emergency warning system will be sent to compatible mobile phones and other connected devices across NSW.

Your device may:

πŸ“± Vibrate
πŸ”Š Make a loud siren-like sound for around 10 seconds
πŸ’‘ Wake the screen and display a test message

The alert may sound even when your phone is set to silent or do not disturb.

The message will clearly state that it is a test, and you do not need to take any action.

If the sound may cause distress, disruption or make someone feel unsafe, turn the device completely off or place it in aeroplane mode before 2pm, and leave it that way for at least one hour.

Please share this information with family, friends and neighbours who may be startled by the alert.
