As an accompaniment to this months newsletter. This amazing clip of Madeleine Edwards (and Noel of course) carving through their log at the Royal Brisbane Show (Ekka) on the 8th of August.

The event is called a "Jack and Jill doubled handed" saw.

They finished 3rd, and it was an Australian Championship final.

An earlier heat went to "the bunker" it was so close. This was so close that I watching couldn't call any of the top 3 places, again it went to the video ref before it was announced.

Madeleine also won The "Jill" saw (single person) Australian Championship (I wish I had that video) and a couple of second places as well in other events, proving she really is a world class competitor.

At this years show (30 and 31 October) you'll see Madeleine and many other top ranked timber cutters in action. It is without doubt one of the most spectacular arenas at any country show.
