Dharma Care

Dharma Care Charity dedicated to creating life-changing opportunities for the destitute and disadvantaged.

Dharma Care is an Australian charity dedicated to creating generational change in regional communities in Australia and overseas. We do this by connecting people who care with people in need, collaborating widely, and providing the resources that allow the destitute and disadvantaged to pursue their full potential. Dharma Care is dedicated to facilitating lasting, positive change by offering proac

tive solutions to the current and future needs of disadvantaged people. Your donation doesn’t just help a single person right now; it’s a seed that’s planted to benefit the wider community both now and in the future. We empower people in need to create better lives for themselves and the generations to come.

Homelessness Week 2026 = Homelessness Action Now, we know what works. Now we need action at the scale and urgency the crisis demands.

This is the heart of everything we do.

Every dollar, every hour, every act of kindness — it all adds up to lives changed. Not headlines. Not accolades. Just people helping people.

Because in the end, what we give back is what we leave behind.

Winter Warmer 2026 event and the warmth in that room at Salt is still with us. To everyone who came out, gave generously and showed up for people experiencing homelessness across Byron and Tweed - from the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Bigs thanks to the Kinship Doobai Dancers — you opened our hearts before a single word was spoken. Thank you to Aunty Jackie for grounding the evening in Country and in truth. To Mandy Nolan— thank you for holding the room with so much wit, warmth and genuine care. Huge thanks to Chayne- The-Space-Cowboy for his performances and art.

To our charity speakers who spoke so honestly about the realities of homelessness in our region — Bec Robinson from Fletcher Street Cottage Jade Ross from Fred's Place, Letechia Lucas from Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre and Anne Goslett from Shift Project — thank you. Your words were the heart of the night.

The work you do every single day for the most vulnerable people in our community is extraordinary, and we are honoured to stand beside you.

Our art auction was a highlight of the evening and we are so grateful to the generous artists and businesses who donated / shared their art works — The Space Cowboy, Belle Stewart Photography, Belle Budden, Judy Collin Hayes, Crystal Castle, Jenny Sayer, Brunswick Picture House, Byron Cello and Cunning Stunts.

Thank you for giving something of yourselves so others might have a roof over their heads. And a special thank you to Marlena Basser at the UKI Gallery for your support of the art auction.
Nights like this don't happen without people who just quietly get things done.

Big Thank you to Sarah Sutton and Catherine Barker for managing the door, ticketing and raffle sales with such joy — setting the tone beautifully.

Thank you to Callum for keeping the sound tight all night, and to Charlene and the incredible team at Salt, Kingscliff for making the space feel like home.

To our sponsors and supporting partners who made the campaign and the event possible — Salt Bar Kingscliff, Cunning Stunts, Crystal Castle & Shambhala Gardens, Printworks Mullumbimby, Belle Stewart Photography, The Echo — your generosity amplifies everything we do. Thank you.

If you weren't able to join us on the night, donations are still open.

Anne Goslett - The SHIFT Project - people have no where to go and there are no service resources to help them. Australia's economic issue is a crisis, why cant we respond in the way we do for natural disasters.

What a night. Thank you to everyone who came out for Winter Warmer 2026 and gave so generously for such an important cause.

To the incredible Kinship Doobai Dancers - you moved us, you grounded us, and you reminded us what community really feels like. Thank you.

Thank you to Aunty Jackie for your beautiful Welcome to Country, to Mandy Nolan for holding the room with so much heart and humour, and to The Space Cowboy for blowing our minds.

A heartfelt thank you to our charity speakers — Bec Robinson from Fletcher Street Cottage, Jade Ross from Fred's Place, Letechia Lucas from Pottsville Beach Neighbourhood Centre and Anne Goslett from The Shift Project. Thank you for speaking so honestly and reminding us all why this night matters.

To the people behind the scenes who made the night run beautifully — Callum on sound and Charlene and the team at Salt, Kingscliff — thank you.

And to every person who bought a ticket, bid on a piece of art, bought a raffle ticket or simply showed up — you are Winter Warmer. Thank you.
