Calling all interested community and MACC members
Art Upper Hunter have initiated a piano art project. Murrurundi Bowling Club have kindly donated a piano to MACC so that we can participate in the project.

We are holding a meeting for interested parties next Thursday 4th June at 6.00pm @ our rooms in Murrurundi Railway Station in conjunction with our monthly general meeting . MACC President Catherine Beverly will be on hand to walk us through the project and how Members can become involved.

The idea is that, like nose-to-tail gastronomy, the whole piano will be consumed. It might become 1 new sculpture or 20 pieces of jewellery, it might be percussed and played along the way, or "destructively" disassembled. What each group does is entirely up to them, with one stipulation - they must document the process. Documentation may include history, stats, process, participants, etc. and will form a key component of the project. We will have a videographer available at key moments but encourage groups to document their process at each stage.

We were delighted to have Haylee Knight from Arts upper Hunter join our monthly MACC meeting at the railway rooms Thursday evening 😊
The piano was picked up from Murrurundi bowling club earlier this month ready for “deconstructing” as part of “the piano project “🎹
Does anyone in town know the origins of this piano to help document its story before being utilised in this art project? 📖
