Morning everyone, it’s that time again! I just wanted to post a reminder about two important meetings on Monday 13th April that will hopefully be of interest to you….

The next Association Committee meeting will be held in the Ocean Room, Swansea Community Centre commencing at 6.00pm. The agenda for this meeting was emailed to all owners early last week from Thomas Tran of Bright and Duggan.

There is also a Council meeting at Glendale which will include the amended motion to consider the hooning issues on the Old Pacific Highway, after it was postponed from last Monday evening.

It is an unfortunate clash of meeting dates but, given the increasing amount of publicity being generated in the media about the hooning problem, it would be great to have as many people as possible at the council meeting while we have some momentum and to demonstrate community support for Paul Nield who has worked incredibly hard to bring this issue to Council’s attention.

While it may be difficult to decide which meeting to attend, given the importance of both to our community, we hope to see you at either Swansea or Glendale on Monday 13th.

Happy Easter! 🐣 Gillian

The pool changing rooms will be closed from 8:00am until 10:00am tomorrow morning (Friday 27 February) for routine pest control.

The pool can be used for swimming and recreation during this time but please plan to shower and change at home while the pest man is spraying.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

The pool will be closed from 5:15pm this evening until tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately there was a contamination incident at the pool late this afternoon.
The pool will be closed for additional chemical treatment in accordance with the approved protocols.
Please do not use the pool this evening.
The pool will re-open tomorrow morning once the water chemical levels have been checked to ensure these are all within the required parameters in accordance with NSW Health standards.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

There will be a Max Adventures Race event starting in Rafferty's on Saturday 14 February. The route for this event will take competitors along Nightshade Crescent to the fire trail that leads to the National Park and then out to the bridge over the Pacific Highway.

Residents in Nightshade Crescent who may be affected by foot traffic will be notified by the organisers.

Please be mindful of runners if you are driving along Raffertys Road in and out of Murrays Beach, or entering and leaving properties along Nightshade Crescent on Saturday morning, thank you.

Morning everyone…we want to thank those of you who came to the Committee meeting on Monday night…it was lovely to see some new faces…I happen to think it’s important to attend these meetings to keep informed and involved in our community….

And I also wanted to say how lovely the pool is at the moment….just went for a 🏊‍♀️ swim and it was beautifully clean and sparkling…well worth a visit! Thanks to David for keeping an eye on things…

Cheers…Gillian

Morning everyone…further to Robert’s reminder about levies due on Monday…it would appear that some owners…my husband and I included…did not receive the email regarding this levy notice emailed on the 17th Dec….I eventually rang Bright and Duggan after searching all folders under both emails and it was def not there. Given that they are due on the 2nd, if you haven’t received the notice I’d suggest you give them a call to check…

And of course another quick reminder about the Association meeting at 6.00pm on Monday night in the Ocean Room at the rear of the library in Swansea! Hope to see you there…

And yet another reminder to get those letters off to the relevant parties listed by Paul Nield regarding the continuing ‘hooning’ etc on the Old Pacific Highway…the more we complain the better our chances of a solution being found! Paul’s post on the Murray’s Beach residents page has all the relevant details….they need to be sent by Monday…bit of homework for the weekend! 😁👍

Thanks everyone…have a lovely day!

Cheers..Gillian 😁😁

Levies are due on 1 February 2025.
Allow 5 days for the payment to be received to ensure no interest or charges are added to your levy account.
The charges go to the Managing Agent for the cost of issuing any overdue levy notice not the Community Association.
Direct debit can be arranged with StrataPay to ensure your levies are always paid on time. No StrataPay account is required and is easily set up, just follow the instructions on your Levy Notice.

For those who don’t have a copy of the agenda for the meeting on the 2nd Feb, I suggest you contact either Louis Goldsmith at [email protected] or Thomas Tran at [email protected]..they will be more than happy to send it …this will also give you an opportunity to update your contact details if necessary…thanks and have a lovely Australia Day tomorrow….Gillian

Good morning everyone…I wanted to introduce myself as the new member of the Murray’s Beach Committee. My name is Gillian O’Rourke and my husband and I have been a residents here for almost 3 years…we love being a part of this community and consider ourselves very lucky we found this little piece of paradise!

I just wanted to remind everyone of the Association Committee Meeting to be held on the 2nd Feb in the Ocean Room of the Community Centre in Swansea.

It’s a great opportunity for residents to raise any concerns or issues after the documented agenda is completed. The agenda has been emailed to residents by Bright and Duggan and we hope to see you there at 6pm. Entry to the Ocean Room is at the rear of the building…there’ll be signs pointing the way!

Cheers…Gillian

***EDIT***
The technician has fixed the problem but please email [email protected] if you are not receiving the free-to-air channels.

TV reception has been lost in areas to the south-east of the pool where the head-end equipment that receives the signal from Mt Sugarloaf is located.
A preliminary assessment of the head-end equipment indicates no issues there but the technician will be on site this afternoon to further investigate a cause for the outage.
Please notify [email protected] if you have lost TV reception.

**Edit** The UPS will be replaced this morning (Tuesday). There may be a very short loss of signal when the system is restarted.

The interruption to the CATV signal was caused by a power surge that blew up the UPS attached to the head-end equipment that receives and then relays the FTA signal. The good news is that the UPS protected the head-end equipment from being damaged by the power surge. The technician has by-passed the UPS so the CATV system will continue to operate as normal but the UPS will be replaced later this week resulting in the loss of signal for a very short time while the system is re-started.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we arranged for repairs to be carried out.
