Murray Bridge Community Centre

Murray Bridge Community Centre Providing equal & inclusive access to programs & services to increase the wellbeing of our community

The Murray Bridge Community Centre is a not-for-profit organisation that began operations in 1989 in response to local community demand to provide a range of services to the Murray Bridge Community. The Centre is part of a network of over 84 Community and Neighbourhood Houses and Centres throughout South Australia and is a member of the Community Centres SA. The Murray Bridge Community Centre is a

not-for-profit organisation which relies on State Funding, grants and donations with the support and generosity of the local community and businesses. The Centre provides a chance for the community to meet people in their local area, make new friends, learn new skills, and develop networks of support and care that extend beyond the walls of the Community Centre and contributes to the well-being of the community. The strength of Murray Bridge Community Centre is in our openness and flexibility. Its aim is to respond to community needs in a relaxed and informal style that encourages active participation. We hope that people will be encouraged, through Centre involvement, to develop and enrich their lives, recognise their strengths, at the same time accepting and appreciating the differences between people. The Murray Bridge Community Centre is a living, growing, active part of the Murray Bridge Community, and aims to continue to meet the needs of residents – so, if you have any comments, criticism, praise or ideas, please don’t hesitate to share them with us.

We’re incredibly honoured and grateful to learn that we were not only nominated but named winners of the Best Community Organisation category in the Murraylands Business Awards.

This recognition means so much and we’d like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to vote for us and acknowledge the work we do.

This award also belongs to our amazing staff and volunteer team, whose dedication, generosity and care help make the Centre what it is every single day. A very special thank you to our reception team, community support team, garden team, our tutors, and our Board.

We’d also like to thank Murray Bridge News for the time and effort they put into hosting these awards and celebrating the people and organisations working hard to make a positive difference in our region.

And finally, congratulations to all the other nominees. Your work continues to support and strengthen our community. We’re proud to stand alongside you.

Thank you again to everyone who supports our Centre.

A big thank you to all the volunteers at the Murray Bridge Community Centre. Your hard work, reliability, and community spirit are central to everything we achieve.

Volunteer Week, celebrated each year in May, is a chance to recognise the incredible contribution volunteers make across Australia. For us, it’s an opportunity to highlight our people who give their time, skills, and energy to support our programs, welcome community members, and help create a safe and inclusive space for everyone who walks through our doors.

Our volunteers don’t just assist with tasks, they build connection, confidence, and community. Their commitment strengthens our Centre and ensures we can continue delivering meaningful services to the people of Murray Bridge.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸💛 🌟

This year's theme is 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 — and that’s exactly what we aim to be. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, share a laugh, or just find a safe space to be yourself, you are welcome here.

We’d love to hear from you. ✨
