Woodturning is a form of woodwork made with a woodlathe that commonly uses a natural medium such as wood to create a range of artistic or utilitatian objects.

We are a diverse group intereted in woodturning, scrollsawing and pyrography and many other endeavours involving woodworking. We enjoy a great social environment where we meet to share ideas, learn new skills and benefit from frequent Club skill based demonstrations

. We also demonstrate at community functions with woodturning demonstations, giving away spinning tops and other objects to eager children and their parents. We have a large fully equiped workshop and woodturning area with a number of Club lathes. We offer a hands on learning enviroment with a a good mix of fun. If you are interested in learning or have some existing skills/experiences we welcome your enquiries. We meet at 9.30 am on the 1st Saturday of the Month at our workshop at Johnson Park Murray Bridge, call in and have a look and say hi.

Public toilets are an important part of community infrastructure, supporting residents, visitors, families, people with disabilities and those enjoying our parks, reserves and public spaces.

The Draft Strategy will guide how public toilet facilities are provided, renewed and managed across the region, helping ensure facilities are located where they are needed, are fit for purpose and continue to meet the needs of our growing community.

Today was Scrolling day, thanks to Tom for todays puzzle projects even though he was attending a wedding, Arvid did a great job of turning a camphor laurel bowl for a gift, Luke was in his usual spot, milling his timber, and the other guys were trying to sort the trailer for next weekend without success…. What to do what to do 🤔🤔🤔 so much for being organised 🙃 thanks to Gen for morning tea.

What a great weekend we had in Wodonga for Scrolling with 18 Scrollsaws all humming away, tips and tricks galore can’t wait to share, fun times and very worthwhile, friendly helpful welcoming people, a few photos of their wood club, wow what a shed second to none, ohh well we can keep dreaming 😜

Scrolling day today with only 4 scrollers, Malcolm doing maintenance on a lathe, Graham D. Preparing his project, and Jack and Luke constructing a chemical cupboard, thanks to Gen for morning tea, an enjoyable day nonetheless.

Todays project was cutting boards thanks to Luke, 5 people took part making the boards, eventually being sold with proceeds to go to the club, Thankyou Luke for something different, and your donation of timber. Arvid busy making another bowl, thanks to Gen for morning tea, followed by a quick meeting and some great show and tell.

Today was a very quiet day with only 2 scrollers, with one of them a first timer, thanks goes to Graham N for the project, we also had one turner, turning a bowl, with a bit of direction and guidance, he was very happy with his efforts, well done Arvid looks great. Luke was busy as usual on the thicknesser making his cutting boards, Jack alias the trainman continued on with his trains, Graham was overseeing his project, Mal was helping Arvid, Harry and Gen were busy scrolling cogs . Thanks to Gen for morning tea, a nice chilled out day.

Well what a great day we had today, 3 Turners, Turning a sauerkraut masher, thanks to Tony for todays project, good work Graham, Wally and Jason who did enough to win the jar of sauerkraut also supplied by Tony. One old but new Turner enjoyed reintroducing himself to Turning a bowl, great work Arvid. One beginner Turner, turned a massager😛 well done Harry. A visit from some adorable little fluffballs with gorgeous little faces, sooo cute. Plenty of others networking, assisting, teaching, thicknessing, scrolling, a visitor knitting all in the warmth of the wood fire after a chilly start. Thanks to Gen for cream cakes and Jeff for rock cakes, yummo .Thanks to Luke for the sausage sizzle enjoyed by all. Afterwards we had a quick meeting, show and tell, some more networking, woodturning and cleaning, a really great day 😊

Today was Toms project… a chimney pot for the Turners and flowers for the scrollers, 3 Turners, 4 scrollers, 1 beginner on the scrollsaw, three visitors, seeing what we get up too, and a couple of 4 legged ones as well checked the place out 🦮thanks Tom a fun project a great day.

Today was Mal’s project of an Aussie trivet and welcome sign, 5 scrollers, Jack continuing on with our toy trains, Luke doing his thicknesser work, Kingsley doing some maintenance, a productive day had by all, thanks to Jeff and Gen for morning tea.

Today was woodturning day, Graham N. Prepared today’s project of a truck tyre bowl, Turners embraced this project with all the lathes flat out, by lunchtime there were truck tyre bowls of all shapes and sizes. Morning tea was supplied by Jeff and Gen and a BBQ sausage sizzle cooked by Luke. After lunch we had a quick meeting, show and tell and some more networking, a great productive day.
