🐢🌿 PATTY THE TURTLE IS GETTING AN UPGRADE! 🏡💚

Little Patty is getting a brand-new home, and we’re pretty proud of this one!

✨ The best part? Her new enclosure has been built entirely from things we already had or items that have been generously donated! ♻️

As you can see in the video, it’s not quite finished yet! We still have some spray painting and planting to do, but we were just WAY too excited about the progress not to share it with you all! 😂💚

At The Sanctuary, we do our best to keep our animal enclosures as natural as possible, creating environments where our residents can explore, feel comfortable and truly thrive. 🌱🐢

We believe creating amazing spaces for our animals doesn’t always mean buying brand-new things. Sometimes, a little creativity, a few recycled treasures and some community generosity go a long way!

A huge thank you to everyone who donates items and supports what we do. You’re helping us make a difference, one little enclosure at a time. 🥰

🐢📸 Want to see just how tiny Patty is? Check the comments for a photo of little Patty!

We can’t wait to show you the finished result! 💚🌿

A little life update from The Play Space…

First, we’re sorry we’ve been a little quiet lately! 🫶 The truth is, we’re tired. Like, could really use a 6-month nap kind of tired. 😂

The world is hard right now, and while we wish we could fix everything for everyone, the reality is that we’re just a small handful of volunteers trying to make a difference wherever we can.

Sometimes we get a little overwhelmed, sometimes we need to take a breath, and sometimes the behind-the-scenes stuff takes every ounce of energy we have.

But we’re still here. Still caring, still trying, and still believing that everyone deserves a place where they belong. 🌈💛

Thank you for being patient with us, for supporting what we do, and for reminding us that even the smallest acts of kindness matter.

We might be running on empty, but we haven’t run out of heart. ❤️

Much love from our little team to yours. 🫶

🎳💜 WELCOME, BRIDGE BOWL! 💜🎳

We’re so excited to welcome Bridge Bowl as a new partner for our Re-Play Program! 👟🏀⚽️

Thanks to the incredible support of Kayla and Aaron, you’ll now find one of our Re-Play donation bins at Bridge Bowl, making it even easier for our community to donate quality pre-loved sporting gear that can find a second home.

♻️ What can you donate? ♻️

We’re currently accepting:
• Football & soccer boots
• Basketball & netball shoes
• Tennis shoes & track spikes
• Club uniforms & team apparel
• Sports clothing
• Gymnastics outfits & dance costumes
• Sports bags
• Small sporting equipment including balls, bats, racquets etc

Please make sure donations are clean and in usable condition so we can pass them on to someone who needs them. 💜

Every pair of shoes, uniform or piece of equipment donated can help remove one more barrier to participation and give someone the opportunity to get involved in sport. Because everyone deserves the chance to play. 🌈

A huge THANK YOU to Kayla and Aaron for their ongoing support of The Play Space and our programs. Your support makes a genuine difference to what we can do in our community. 🥰

📍 Re-Play Donation Bin now available at BRIDGE BOWL on Maurice Road in Murray Bridge!

🐍 MEET BRADLEY THE BREDLI! 🐍

We’re very excited to introduce the newest member of The Sanctuary family — Bradley! 💚

Bradley’s Mumma recently reached out to us when she needed to find him a new home, and we were more than happy to welcome this handsome boy into The Sanctuary. 🥰

And let us tell you… Bradley is SUPER friendly! Our own boys have already had a pat, and he has been an absolute sweetheart. ❤️

For now, Bradley is settling into his new surroundings and getting used to his new home. Next week, we’ll properly introduce ourselves, begin handling him and spend some time getting to know his personality.

We’re really hoping Bradley will be suitable to join our Scales Are Not Scary program, where he could help us show people that snakes really aren’t as scary as they might seem! 🐍✨

At an estimated 2 metres long, Bradley is certainly big enough to turn a few heads! 😍

Welcome to The Sanctuary, Bradley. We’re so happy you’re here! 💚
