Well what an amazing result from our Fathers Day raffle today. Best one ever and all prizes went to locals. 1st prize winners have just moved up here from down south. 2nd prize winners are well known to us all and Ross and myself ended up swapping basketball tales. 3rd prize winners are connected to the Men’s Shed and more stories swapped.
Turns out Mary promised our 2nd prize winner a win at our last firewood raffle.

Last week we celebrated 55 years of Mundaring Seniors Incorporated.

It was fantastic to have the community join us at Hub of the Hills for an afternoon of Carpet Bowls and afternoon tea.

During the celebrations, Shire President Paige McNeil announced Council had approved funding for a new bus for Mundaring Seniors Incorporated members and the wider community.

Huge thanks to Ebony and Leanne for their contribution to our 55th anniversary celebration by way of our amazing cake. Lots of compliments given by all as to how yummy it was and how pretty.

A massive thank you to all of our members of the Mundaring Seniors who have been involved with and helped the management committee in raising funds towards the community bus project and also supported the changes to our association rules. So many of you turned out for the AGM on Wednesday and all worked like little beavers afterwards and beforehand to make the following celebration the success that it was. The afternoon tea that was served up was also a testament to the amazing group of people we have at Mundaring Seniors Carpet Bowls. Cannot express enough how grateful the committee is for all your hard work. Thank you to our paparazzi Aileen for all the wonderful photos.

Prior to our 55th anniversary celebration we had our AGM and some very special presentations took place. First up was the presentation of eight badges to Eric Stein, John Parsons, Carole Parsons and Pauline Craigs. Second was the presentation of Life Membership to John and Carole Parsons.

Yesterday the Mundaring Seniors Incorporated celebrated their 55th anniversary with guests from organisations such as Mundaring Ratepayers Association, Hills Historical Society, Bendigo Community Bank, Red Hatters, Shire of Mundaring and others that have supported us in our efforts to get a new bus. Also joining us were our Life Members Barbara, Charlie, Jackie, Aileen, Mary, John and Carole.
