💛 WA Day
Today is about this place we share.
Western Australia is vast and varied. It holds stories that go back tens of thousands of years, alongside those that are still being written.
At Scouts WA, we see what makes this state what it is. Young people stepping up. Volunteers giving their time. Communities showing up for each other in quiet, steady ways.
WA Day is a chance to take stock of that. To think about where we live and what we contribute to it.
Wherever you are across WA today, we hope you find a moment to enjoy it.

We sincerely thank our volunteers for the time, care and dedication you give to our club. Whether you support our group each week, work behind the scenes, help us meet regulations, maintain our facilities, or strengthen our community connections, your contribution is deeply valued. Our club would not be what it is without you. Thank you for everything you do.

This week, our Scouts hit the trails at John Forrest National Park. After a tricky start finding the trailhead, they found their way and turned it into their own hybrid adventure hike. For some, it was their very first hiking experience!!

At the lookout, the group slowed things down with a peaceful and reflective “Scouts’ Own” before heading home.

A “Scouts’ Own” is a chance to pause, connect with nature, and reflect on our place in the world and in our community.

Want in on the fun? Mundaring Scouts is looking for new members. Scouts is for girls and boys aged 11–14, and we meet Mondays from 6.45pm to 8.45pm. Get in touch to book your three free trial sessions. 🌳🏞️🌴🏃‍♀️🌻

This evening, some of our newly invested Cubs and Joeys planned to demonstrate camp cooking; however, due to a local high fire danger rating, those plans were revised. Nevertheless, adhering to the Scout motto 'be prepared,' they promptly adapted to kitchen cooking and prepared a sweet and healthy baked apple crumble.

We also brainstormed ideas for activities to undertake this term.

To conclude our session, we established three new patrol groups, with congratulations extended to our newly appointed Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders.

is coming up (18–24 May), and we want to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers and recognise the incredible work they do for young people across the nation.
Scouting is a youth-led, adult-supported movement. Our young people lead the way in their adventures, while Scout Leaders and volunteers guide, support and empower them to grow. Become a volunteer with Scouts Australia today:

The cooler weather has arrived, which means it's time for Scouts to enjoy one of their favourite activities - camp cooking over an open fire. In preparation for Mother's Day, the Scouts got to cook some delicious meals on the fire, including sweet and savoury damper twists, beef stroganoff and cobbler made in Dutch ovens.

Mundaring Joeys', Cubs, Scouts,Ventures and Mundaring Rovers attended many different Anzac day services to pay our respects to past and present men and women in service.
We started off doing our sunset vigil on the eve of Anzac day at Blackboy Hill in Greenmount along with our friends from other Bilgoman districts groups. We continued into the night to stand guard at the Blackboy Hill monument. Anzac Day we attended services in Greenmount, Wundowie, York and Kings Park.
We rounded up the day with an Anzac day parade on our home turf in Mundaring.
