😍 Wow! Looking back and remembering how far we have come! What a bunch of incredible legends…

🌈 Aiden went on to create Q***r Family which has supported our rainbow folk with safe space to gather since 2019!

♻️ sashamainsbridge has also carried Mullum Cares Inc. since 2019, offering so many services to our community including Library of Stuff Co op - caring for our environment and promoting a sharing economy.

🌟 Celine Massa works with Resilient Lismore - who foster disaster preparedness and support the Lismore community (and beyond) since 2018! Back in the day, Celine brought her son - Tahiel - who was six, to check out Shedding. Tahiel is 14 now and is still a regular Shedder!

✂️ Sammy - Sammy Donnelly runs The Hairy Deck - cutting hair and providing a listening ear upon the most beautiful colourful deck - adorned with rainbow details and comforts for the nervous system.

♥️ So glad to call you folks my friends… We have been through a lot together - supporting community is not always easy, and I’m so proud of us for caring and doing good things in the world, to care for it and for each other.

🥲 Finding memories from 2018!

♥️ Been looking back through old photos to find out when we first received our custom-made pallet puller from my dear friend Luke Di Sessa back when I had only just created Shedding Inc!

🥰 I remember feeling so overjoyed by his generous gift, and I’m so stoked to say that his self-made pallet pullers have lasted 8 years and are still going strong!

🥳 So proud to witness our crew using Luke’s design and scrap materials to create our own! We will be selling our pallet pullers to our community of salvaging makers and creators, so we can all build from pallets and dismantle them in a way that is accessible to so many body types!

🙏🏼 Thanks Luke, for inspiring me and supporting so many of our Shedders to discover this incredible tool!

Welding with Mark from Mark Rochlitz this Friday at Spacemakers!

Come along, learn and play with us as we create new pallet pullers from scraps - as is The Shedding Way.

Things to bring: Your wonderful self in long sleeves and sturdy shoes (to withstand a bit of metal - no sneakers please). Cotton clothes preferred over synthetic materials. We don’t have welding jackets yet!

We provide: Materials, gloves, earbuds and welding masks.

Ever wanted to cut a piece of foam to a custom size? Ever tried it with a jigsaw and witnessed the destruction?

We’ve discovered the great joy of using an electric breadknife, that you can find every now and then at your local op shop.

The beauty of the electric breadknife is that it has double blades, which means it won’t chew up your material as it might with a jigsaw or reciprocating saw, which uses one blade.

We’re so excited about how well it works that we wanted to share the joy, check it out!

A little window into our day at Spacemakers today. We had shelves galore, foam mattresses being cut out for our Wellbeing Room day bed, designs sessions. We dismantled, we sorted, we prepped for UPSKILL, what a day!

🌏 We are so keen to sharing our Shedding culture with you…

💬 Which includes our language - our words and their meaning to us.

❤️ It also includes our care - for each other, and of course for our beautiful TOOLS that work with such ease… When we remember to care for them!

💨 A good bl***ob for our power tools cleans out the little bits of sawdust through the body of the tool - not just the bits you can get at with our vacuum.

🤣 And with such a memorable title who could ever forget to give their sacred power tool a good bl***ob!

Our non-hierarchical approach is inspiring like-minded groups to share our wellbeing-focused resources and networks far and wide.

🗓️This year we are supporting 60 leaders from community groups - connecting and leading with passion - as part of our growing Community Exchange Network.

We believe that collaboration is magic - we can all help each other - knowledge sharing is a powerful tool in community building!
