"Can you recommend a local artist / designer / photographer / performer / maker or creative for my project?" is one of the most common enquiries we receive at ANR.

While we're always happy to point people in the right direction, we know there is far more creative talent in our region than any one organisation could keep track of. That’s why we created the Northern Rivers Creative directory.

Rather than handpicking artists, we built a platform where artists and creative practitioners can showcase their work and where anyone can easily find the right person for a project, event, commission or collaboration.

You can search by artform, location, First Nations and a wide range of creative practice categories to help narrow your search. 🔍

This year, we are accepting proposals for a limited number of exhibition spaces in Galleries 1 & 3 for exhibitions between June and December 2027.⁠

We welcome exhibition proposals from emerging and established artists that display innovative ideas and approaches to contemporary arts practice, and projects that will captivate and challenge our audiences.⁠

We strongly encourage applications from First Nations artists, artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Deaf and disabled artists and LGBTQIA+ artists.⁠
