Calling all locals who are keen to make some extra money! Let's kick the cost of living crisis in the guts and support our amazing town traders and anyone else who wants to set up a stall on Saturday the 29th November in Mullumbimby:)

The Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce and Community has partnered with Mullum Cares to take their Shop Local campaign to the next level with this mega shopping extravaganza all over Mullum town!

We want as many Mullum - and surrounds -locals/businesses/organisations/creatives/artists with stuff to sell to sign up to participate in our CHRISTMAS SALE TRAIL event - again, on Saturday 29th November.

This day will be an amazing demonstration of the small businesses, creatives and non profit organisations that live and work in or near Mullumbimby.

Pop up stalls will be set up from The Paddock Project, to the Byron Community College RTO: 90013 (Flea Market), the Library of STUFF Mullumbimby to Mullumbimby Community Garden and outside many of the towns businesses in the central business zone.

REGISTER NOW TO PARTICIPATE AS A TRADER - DEADLINE TO GET IN THE FULL PAGE ECHO AD IS 5PM ON THE 29th OCTOBER.

IF YOU HAVE STUFF TO SELL (including gift vouchers for your services) AND YOU WANT TO TRADE AT THIS EVENT PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM ASAP.

Please share this opportunity to any locals you know who would jump at the chance to have a pop up stall. The Mullumbimby Chamber of Commerce and Community will be emailing all their members asking them to sign up. There's never been a better time to join the Chamber if you've been considering it DO IT NOW!

When we spend our money outside our community it doesn't ease the cost of living pressures for our friends and neighbours who work in and run local businesses. Lets think circular and start by committing to spend as much of our Christmas money as possible locally.
Make a day of it! Trading from 8am with the crowd ending up at the Twilight Flea Market at the Byron Community College RTO: 90013 where there'll be a bar in the Gallery 4 - 7pm and tunes being spun on the decks from 2pm.

We are representatives on the Byron Shire Community Resilience Network and in daily briefing meetings with council, emergency services and the NSW Reconstruction Authority.

The extent of damage and flooding is still to play out but we have offered to assist with community needs for stuff that can be shared.
If you need items that could then be returned and used by others please jump on the libraryofstuff.org.au website and tell us using the contact form on the home page.

We're ready🤞

Our Library of STUFF Mullumbimby relocated into this brick building after the 2022 flood.
We love that it's made from and we fitted it out with flood resilient materials!

🧱Brick with metal roller doors.
🗄️Metal cabinets and shelving
🪵Hardwood bookshelf and hutch that survived the last flood.

We set shelf heights so we just needed to squash stuff together and move the stuff on the floor up onto the shelves. A few super heavy items were lifted onto tables. The few mdf shelves that survived as high shelves previously were deliberately set as high shelves in this location.

Thanks to the NSW Government we had solar and a battery installed so we are immune to local power outages.

So far the Brunswick River hasn't breached the banks next to our shed. But if it does we expect we'll be ok and we expect to be open next Thursday as usual.

If you need assistance please head to our website and contact us using the form on the landing page. Libraryofstuff.org.au
