Byron District Orchid Society

Byron District Orchid Society A friendly club for orchid growers. We meet on the second Sunday of the month at 1.30 at the Mullumbimby RSL. There is also a sale table. Cost is $10 per year.

Our club, which was formed over 60 years ago and meets Monthly at the RSL in Mullumbimby. Members live around Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads, Ocean Shores, Byron Bay, Bangalow and in the hinterland. At every meeting, members bring in their orchids for display. They are separated into various classes and judged. A Growers Prize is awarded to the 'Champion Orchid' of the day. ng followed by a discussion on orchid growing techniques or a presentation the meeting is then closed with afternoon tea. Social trips are also arranged to members gardens and orchid shows. New members and visitors are always welcome.
