Your Somerset Alumni Association allows you to:
* encourage others to join;
* view our calendar of events;
* view photos from Alumni events;
* update your personal information;
* inform others of your activities via a biography facility;
* view, post or seek assistance on any particular issue on the bulletin board;

ur Alumni Association. Unlike other alumni associations, your membership to the Somerset Alumni Association is free. Keeping in contact with the College via the Alumni Association will ensure you are invited to regular social functions held. You will also be able to receive information about areas of interest and keep up-to-date with important information through our newsletters, news alert, reports and guides. We hope you enjoy your time on your Alumni Association site - after all, this is your page, your school, your Alumni Association!

This year, the Class of 1996 celebrates 30 years since graduation.

Ainslie Richardson was a member of this graduating year group but tragically passed away on Year 9 camp.

Congratulations to Somerset College alumna Risa Utama (Class of 2017) on her outstanding success at the Kennedy Awards!

Risa was recognised with Best Regional Broadcast Reporting and Young Journalist of the Year for her impactful reporting on the challenges facing Newcastle's Calvary Mater Hospital at NBN Television.

We are incredibly proud to see our alumni making a difference through courageous, meaningful journalism. Congratulations, Risa, on this well-deserved recognition!

Spotlight Series | Dan Lake (Class of 2001) 🎬

This edition of our Spotlight Series celebrates Somerset College alumnus Dan Lake (Class of 2001), whose career has taken him from the Gold Coast to the forefront of Australia's film and television industry.

As Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Orange Entertainment Co, Dan has played an integral role in developing and producing acclaimed screen projects that have captivated audiences across the country. His impressive portfolio includes AUDREY (2024), now streaming on Netflix, and the highly anticipated The Animal Sanctuary (2026), set to premiere on Channel 10.

Dan's journey is a wonderful example of where passion, creativity, and determination can lead. We are incredibly proud to see him continuing to make his mark on the Australian entertainment landscape and inspiring the next generation of storytellers.

What a wonderful evening we had last Saturday night at the Somerset College Sydney Alumni Social 🎉🥂✨

Joined by Headmaster Chris Ivey, Deputy Heads Michele Sauer and Allison Foster, and 25 past students spanning from graduating years of 2008 to 2025, the night was one to remember.

The Brooksy Bar located in the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney made for the perfect location, with an exquisite range of cocktails, canapés and exceptional service on offer.

To all our alumni who managed to make it to the event, thank you. We loved hearing your stories and catching up on the years past. To all the alumni who didn’t, we hope to see you at the next one!

Over the weekend, we travelled to Melbourne to host our annual Alumni Social event at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.

It was a truly special evening reconnecting with Somerset College alumni, both familiar faces and those we were meeting again after many years. We loved hearing about the incredible journeys, achievements, and experiences our graduates have enjoyed since leaving Somerset College.

We're already looking forward to doing it all again in Sydney this weekend!

We are proud to celebrate Somerset College alumna Larni Kollander, who is now Global Head of Creative Strategy at H&M. With more than 15 years of experience in branding, design and communications, Larni has helped shape the global identity of one of the world's most recognised fashion brands.

Having held leadership roles across H&M Group, R/GA and M&C Saatchi, Larni's career is a testament to the power of creativity, strategic thinking and global ambition. We are delighted to see a Somerset graduate making such a significant impact on the international stage.
