Warm weather calls for water play!

With the sunshine out, our children have been enjoying some refreshing water play, splashing, exploring and keeping cool while having lots of fun.

Water play is a wonderful way to support sensory exploration, develop fine and gross motor skills, encourage social interactions and inspire imaginative play.

There’s nothing better than learning through play on a warm day at Village Child Care Centre Mudgeeraba!

Today we welcomed Bravehearts to Village for a very special Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure.

Our children enjoyed learning important messages about body safety, safe and unsafe feelings, and speaking up to trusted adults, all delivered in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

Thank you, Bravehearts, for helping us empower our children with these important skills. 💜

🐝 Our Native Bee Hive Has Arrived! 🌿

After lots of research, planning and hands-on learning, our native bee hive has finally arrived at Village!

The children have been involved every step of the way, researching native bees and what they need to thrive, creating beautiful gardens filled with bee-friendly flowers, drawing and creating their own bees, and working together to make sure the hive stand was safe and secure before our bees arrived.

The children have also created their very own “Bee Keeper Rules” to help everyone understand how we can safely care for and respect our new little visitors. They’ve even been enjoying bee keeper role play, taking on the important job of looking after the hive!

This experience is so much more than learning about bees. It’s encouraging curiosity, responsibility, teamwork and a growing understanding of sustainability and our natural environment.

We can’t wait to watch our native bee colony settle in and see where this little learning adventure takes us! 🐝🌼🌱

A big thank you to Kyoshi from Combined Martial Arts Nerang for an exciting board-breaking experience with the children!

The children had so much fun practising their focus, confidence, coordination and determination as they worked towards breaking their boards. Such a fantastic hands-on experience!

Today is a reminder that a simple question can make a big difference.

At Village Child Care Centre, we believe looking after each other is just as important as looking after the children. Take a moment today to check in with your colleagues, your friends and your loved ones.

Ask the question.
Listen without judgement.
Be there for the answer.

R U OK?

Because sometimes, a little kindness and a genuine conversation is exactly what someone needs.

✨ Little hands, big discoveries! ✨

Our babies explored light, colour, shapes and shadows as they investigated the light table and experimented with different translucent resources. A beautiful sensory experience encouraging curiosity, problem-solving and hands-on learning. 💡🌈

Learning through light, one little discovery at a time.

What a busy week of creativity and self-expression!

Our children have been busy exploring colour, lines, shapes and imagination through art. From big scribbles and vibrant rainbows to drawings, patterns and colourful creations, every mark tells a little story.

We love seeing the children freely express themselves through art, building confidence, creativity and a sense of pride in their own unique ideas.

A very colourful week of creating, exploring and expressing!

☕️A HUGE thank you to Maria from 83 Coffee Co!

What a way to brighten up a cold and rainy morning!

Maria popped in this morning and brought along all the warm coffee goodness we needed to get through this rainy morning. There’s something about a freshly made coffee that just makes everything feel a little better!

Our team and families loved having their coffee orders made fresh and enjoyed a few minutes of catching up, warming up and enjoying that much needed caffeine hit.

Thank you so much, Maria, for coming in and bringing a little warmth to our morning! We loved having you here and can’t wait for the next coffee visit! ☕️
