It is with great disappointment that we share the news that the 2026 ACE Genetics Youth Development Day, scheduled for the 29th of May, will unfortunately not be going ahead.

Over recent weeks, a number of schools have withdrawn from attending and unfortunately we are no longer able to run the day viably with the number of students remaining.

We strongly believe in the value of this event and the opportunities it provides for young people to learn about the agricultural industry, connect with industry professionals, and explore future career pathways. However, events like this can only happen with the interest and support of schools, students, volunteers, and the wider community.

A huge thank you to everyone who had already offered their time, support, sponsorship, and sessions for the day — we truly appreciate it. We hope this is not the end of the ACE Genetics Youth Development Day and that with greater support and interest, we can bring it back bigger and better in the future. ❤️

Big things are in store for this year’s Youth Day! 👏🔥

We’re excited to have an incredible lineup of industry professionals delivering hands-on and engaging sessions for our students — giving them real insight into careers in agriculture and the opportunities out there.

🐄 Agents from McDonald Lawson & Carter will be running sessions on young auctioneers and market reports
🐑 Brett from AWN will be covering all things wool and sheep
🐕 Nick Pearce is back with his always popular Farmers Challenge sessions — a mix of fun and practical skills
🐂 Sara and the team from NHIA will be delivering cattle reproduction sessions, including hands-on learning opportunities
🌱 Katrina and the team will be sharing their knowledge on weeds and control strategies

Feeding a couple of hundred hungry students and volunteers is no small job, and we are incredibly grateful for their support in making sure everyone is well looked after on the day.

It takes a lot of people behind the scenes to make this event happen, and contributions like this make a massive difference. Your help allows us to focus on delivering a fantastic day for the kids and showcasing the opportunities within agriculture.
