Monday 12 October 2026 | Extreme

A Total Fire Ban is in place today.
🚫 No fires in the open
🚫 No hot works (welding, grinding etc.) outdoors
⚠️ Reconsider mowing or slashing – these can easily start a fire

Bush fires are more likely to start and spread rapidly on hot, dry and windy days like this. A Total Fire Ban is declared to help protect lives, property and the environment.

Please stay fire safe. Check your bush fire plan and make sure your property is prepared.

🚒 Mt White RFS out on deployment 🔥

One of our Mt White Rural Fire Brigade members Ben is currently deployed to Tenterfield as part of a Hunter Area Command Strike Team, supporting crews working on the Donnybrook Fire Trail Fire.

It’s a long way from home, but this is what the RFS is all about — crews from across NSW coming together, backing each other up and putting in the hard yards when communities need them.

A big thank you to Ben for stepping up and representing Mt White, and to all the crews working on the fire. Stay safe out there! 👊🧑‍🚒

From the Central Coast to the Northern Tablelands — one team, one job.

🚨 EXTREME FIRE DANGER– TOTAL FIRE BAN 🚨

Today the Fire Danger Rating for our area is Extreme and a Total Fire Ban is in place.
This means fires can start and spread quickly – even the smallest ember can have big consequences.

🚫 A Total Fire Ban means no fires are permitted, including charcoal and solid fuel BBQs.

⚠️ Activities that produce sparks or flames in the open — like welding, grinding or gas cutting — must not be done without an exemption.

🧹Take time today to clear gutters, remove debris, and check your bush fire plan

🔥 Fire Danger Update – Tomorrow Sunday 21st December🔥

Tomorrow’s Fire Danger Rating is HIGH, and as a result all fire permits are suspended.

Due to the elevated fire conditions, Mt White Brigade will be on a pre-emptive strike team, ready to respond quickly to any incidents should they arise.

Now is also a good time to create or review your Bushfire Survival Plan. Having a plan in place helps you and your family know what to do if a fire threatens your area — it can take as little as 5 minutes to complete.
