What an exciting day for our Under 12's Div2 on Sunday, in another thrilling game that went to the wire, they delivered a most memorable Grand Final performance.
Batting first, not everything went to plan, with runs hard to come by, especially on the slow Phillips outfield. Arav Chavan (18) and Arnav D. (12no) were the shining lights, and got us, in the end to a defendable total of 77 runs. Small totals can be tricky when chasing, and Mounties went about their work with the ball protecting the runs with great positivity. The bowling was tight and the wickets were well shared, with Arnav C; Arav, Lucas and Perrin all taking one each, whilst Teddy and Atharv chipped in with 2 a piece. The turning point of the game, was in over 22 with Teddy holding onto an important catch off the bowling of Atharv to have the opposition 8/66. Over 24 then saw Teddy come onto bowl some leg spin magic, and that he did. Holding onto a caught and bowled and then a leg spinners dream ensued when he bowled the opposing player around his legs to win the game! What a brilliant ball, and what a way to finish! Mounties winners by just 5 runs🏏🏏 Another wonderful team effort. πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ–€ ⭐️🌟🀩

Even the rain couldn't dampen their spirits as our U15's Valley Mounties Combined team shone through. Batting first, after losing two early wickets, Matthew Bean lead the way with his 5th half century of the season, 68 off 98 balls to put us right back in the game. A quick fire 20 from Noah Hayward followed by some more patient batting from Ryan Sansom, Dean Burrows and Ridhwan Ur-Rahman in the middle order saw our tally continue to climb, setting the opposition 175 for victory.
Some tight bowling in the middle overs , and some very handy wickets from Ryan Sansom (2/8) had the game poised in a perfect balance before the heavens opened up. With no more play possible, Valley Mounties having finished at the top of table were crowned Premiers. πŸ†πŸ†πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡Matty Bean receiving man of the match honours with his 68 runs and 2 catches. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Congratulations to these young lads - hard work does pay off!! Special thanks to Tony Sansom and Kristy Burrows on their leadership and guidance to ensure that their season was a great one! πŸ’šπŸ€πŸ–€πŸ’› A very special moment for both the Green Valley and Mounties Cricket Clubs

What an exciting day for our Under 11's Div2 yesterday, in a game that went to the very last over, they delivered a most memorable Grand Final performance.
In an all round team effort, the boys batted and bowled well. Batting first, every player put their best foot and bat forward, to get the runs on the board, H***y leading the way with his 19no. Souhail Hawat then took 2 vital wickets in the 15th over to turn the game in our favour in an incredibly close encounter. Under pressure Muhammad Hasnain Khanooni bowled the last over with accuracy, Prestons needing just 5 runs for victory, but H***y's line and length was impeccable, with only a bye and 1 run being added to the scorecard, and Mounties winners by 3 runs! Souhail Hawat was commended on his performance by the umpire and was named player of the match. Special mention to Charlie and his family for cheering the team on, for Aiden and Glenn’s support from afar and a huge well done to all involved with this team, it was truly a team effort! 🏏🏏⭐️🌟🀩

continues with some great efforts from our Under 12's and our Under 11 teams.
Our U12's were dominant winners in their Division 2 semi-final. Batting first, Mounties batted as a team, with most players contributing to our end total of 150 off 26 overs. Arnav Chavan leading the way with an unbeaten 28. We then defended the total grandly, with wickets shared around and Moorebank dismissed for 59 runs in the 20th over. Oliver Andrijic with a personal best of 2/3. 🀩🀩 Onto the GRANDFINAL. πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ†πŸ†

Our U11's Black in the 1st Division semi-final meet some tough competition, but gave it their all and came so very close. This team has plenty of talent and their cricket has grown so much throughout the season. We can't wait to see what they can do in 2026/2027 season! πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ’›πŸ–€

Our U11's Gold in the 2nd Division semi-final had to fight hard in a very close encounter to finish just 4 runs ahead of their opponents. Bowling first Sher Zaman Niazi (2/11), Alhan Sadik (1/5) and Lawson Oliveri (1/12) all took vital wickets to ensure that we contained the opposition whilst Aiden Roche (21 no) and Muhammad Hasnain Khanooni (26 no) starred with the bat in the run chase, getting us home in a thrilling finish. Onto the GRANDFINAL. πŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’›πŸ–€πŸ†πŸ†
