Way to go!

Mt Nelson Bushcare smashed more forget-me-not on Sunday! 30 bags taken to green-waste approximating 1/4 tonne of these dreadful, understory-transforming, nasty w**ds. Go you good people!

Join the conversation! Bring an idea.

The Mount Nelson Community Association wants to help build community, support local ideas and give Mount Nelson a stronger voice. But the best ideas don’t come from the committee — they come from the community.

Join us for our Annual General Meeting and special guest speaker David Bartlett - former Premier of Tasmania and Mount Nelson Primary School student (among many other things!)

Then it’s your turn.

Over refreshments at our informal Ideas Fest, we’d love to hear your ideas for activities, projects and initiatives that could make Mount Nelson an even better place to live.

When: Sunday 2 August from 3pm
Where: Sustainability Learning Centre,
Hobart College

Yesterday, the Mount Nelson Community Association (MNCA) held an incredible event on Aboriginal bush tucker, facilitated by Kitana Mansell.

A huge thank you to Kitana for generously sharing her vast knowledge of bush food, culture, and connection to Country. More than 65 adults and children had a wonderful opportunity to learn from the best.

A big shout-out as well to the Sustainability Learning Centre staff for hosting us, and to all the wonderful MNCA volunteers and the Community STEM Grant that made this event possible.
