Home Based Care or Foster Care provides safe and nurturing care for a child or young person from birth to 17 years with in the home environment. PYFS Home Based Care is unique in its approach to Foster Care as it provides extensive support to Carers through a dedicated Carer Support Team and therapeutic support to the child through Case Management and on site clinician consultation. PYFS Home Base

Care Services are child focused and work from an evidence based trauma and attachment framework to allow for the best outcomes for both the children and carers. Children are referred to our service when they are taken into care of the Department of Human Services because they cannot live with their family due to abuse and or neglect. Our accredited Foster Carers are screened, trained, assessed and supported to ensure the best outcomes for both children and carers. we are always looking for carers. Foster Care can be for a few days, weeks, months or years. We currently have close to 40 carers in the program and 7 case managers to support our placements.
