The Network brings together local residents and businesses that want to develop a better place to live, work, run a business and have fun. • To encourage and promote the unique vibrancy, lifestyle and retail environment on the street
• Work with local governments, other community organisations and private developers wherever possible to develop new initiatives and projects to enhance Beaufort Street
• Inspire and foster the creative community
• Provide a strong voice for residents, retailers and community organisations
To date, some of Beaufort Street Network’s biggest achievements include the development of Western Australia’s biggest street party, The Beaufort Street Festival, which attracted approximately 100,000 locals and visitors to the area each year. They have also successfully created and commenced action on the first ever community action plan, The Better Beaufort Action Plan as well as conducting various streetscape upgrade audits and initiatives to promote the street.
