Local Partner Appreciation - Mount Isa Mines, a Glencore Company.

With thanks to Mount Isa Mines Community Sponsorship Grant, CUC Mount Isa has just completed a project that makes life easier for students and staff! 💻⚡😀

The CUC Mount Isa Network Upgrade Project, funded by Mount Isa Mines, delivered a robust, easy to access technical network that will support growth in student numbers and services at CUC into the future.

Students are now benefitting from easier access to CUC computers and software as well as easier use of own devices on our network. CUC staff also benefit from greatly reduced effort to maintain the network, freeing up more time to do what we love and do best... helping students succeed!!

Thank you Mount Isa Mines. Your partnership with CUC Mount Isa makes a huge difference to studying in place and is greatly appreciated.

Our Stories - CUC

Kylie is completing a PhD in Health with JCU, chosen as she enjoys research and clinical work. This course of study allows Kylie to combine the two in a local context.

When asked about the importance of having CUC in Mount Isa, Kylie shared "CUC gives me a “neutral” space that isn’t work or home, where I can productively study. I love the student social events too!"

Thank you for sharing your story, Kylie! Thank you also for engaging so enthusiastically in the social activities at CUC. Building a community of students, right here in Mount Isa.

Thank you Mount Isa!
We loved being a part of the Mount Isa Street Festival Parade and celebrating the Legends of Rodeo with you all!

CUC Mount Isa staff and students were joined by JCU: Murtupuni Centre for Rural & Remote Health, all aboard (or around) the Bell & Moir Toyota Landcruiser amazingly decorated by our Student Services Coordinator Marissa Camenzuli.

Here's to a fantastic rodeo week! And remember, 'if the dust ain't flyin', you ain't tryin'
