📸😂 RIGHTO LOCALS… TIME TO RAID THE OLD PHOTO ALBUMS!

With the pool reopening on 18 December, we thought it was only fair that we spend the lead-up publicly embarrassing ourselves with some quality throwback pool photos. 😂🏊‍♀️

We want to see your BEST pool memories from back in the day.

We’re talking…

🥽 Goggles that covered approximately 70% of your face
👙 Questionable 90s/2000s swimwear choices
👃 Enough zinc on your nose to be visible from space
🏊 Swimming carnival photos you hoped would never resurface
☀️ Those magnificent “I spent my entire childhood at the pool” tans
😂 And hairstyles that absolutely did NOT survive a day of chlorine

Drop your throwback photo in the comments 👇📸

Even better — tell us the story behind it. Who are you with? What year was it? And most importantly… what on earth were you wearing?! 😂

Bonus points for photos taken at our local pool — we want to see how far back we can go!

Surely someone in this group has an absolute GOLDMINE sitting in an old photo album somewhere… 👀

Come on, don’t leave us hanging.

👇 LET’S SEE THEM! 👇

💦 What stage are your kids at?

Parents with little swimmers — how old were your kids when swimming finally clicked for them? 🏊

Were they little fish from day one, or did it take a while to build their confidence? Might be helpful for other parents with reluctant swimmers.

🏊 Friendly reminder for anyone who saw the VacSwim post and thought, ‘I’ll do that later’… THIS IS YOUR LATER. 😂

🏊‍♂️💦 Exciting News for Mt Helena Swim Club! 🧡💙❤

We are incredibly proud and grateful to announce that Mt Helena Swimming Club has been awarded a community grant from Bendigo Bank Mundaring!

Thanks to the generous support of Bendigo Bank Mundaring, we will be able to purchase and install new dive blocks for our swimmers. This upgrade will greatly enhance training opportunities, improve competition readiness, and provide a safer and more professional environment for our athletes.

These dive blocks will make a huge difference for our swimmers — from our youngest squad members learning race starts, through to our senior competitors striving for personal bests.

Community support like this is what keeps grassroots sport thriving, and we are so thankful to have Bendigo Bank Mundaring backing our club and our local youth.

Please join us in thanking Bendigo Bank Mundaring for investing in the future of our swimmers and supporting sport in our community 👏💜
