We are thrilled to again be collaborating with the Mount Gambier Pioneers to highlight the message that everybody deserves to feel safe, respected and free from violence.

Come and show your support to the cause and the Pioneers on court tonight.
Action starts at 6pm and 8pm respectively.

SAY NO TO VIOLENCE

This Friday night at Wulanda, the Pioneers Basketball Club and the Limestone Coast Family Violence Action Group will come together to highlight an important message โ€” everyone deserves to be safe, respected, and free from violence.

As a club, we are proud to use our platform to support awareness, encourage conversations, and stand alongside our community in saying no to violence.

Violence has no place in our homes, workplaces, sporting clubs, or communities. Creating change starts with all of us.

Destroyers, we again bring news of a woman killed in what should be a place of safety, her own home, along with other members of her family. We have few reported details right now, but as always we will update our post and register as facts emerge.

Our Counting Dead Women campaign calls on all levels of government to prioritise a national, unified system for investigation, analysis and response to violence against women. With sorrow we continue our task of maintaining the most credible and substantiated record of women killed by violence in Australia.
Once more we sadly update our register of known deaths due to violence against women in 2026, which now stands at 18.

Just after 1:30am emergency services were called to a home in Rosemeadow (NSW) following reports of a disturbance. Ruvena Lam (65) and her son Justin Feng (25) died at the scene, which police described as โ€˜very grislyโ€™. Her husband Charles Feng (64) was found with critical head injuries and later died at Liverpool Hospital. An unnamed 30-year-old son, who had called triple-zero, was also injured but was released from hospital after treatment. Police officers arrested the oldest son Jacky Feng (32) when he returned to the scene an hour later, and have charged him with 3 counts of murder and one of attempted murder. No further details are known at present.

We extend our deepest sympathy to family and friends.
Destroyers, these posts honour the memory of women who have died in tragic circumstances. We moderate closely and hide off topic comments. Off topic comments include: speculation as to motivation, actions, background, mental state and drug or alcohol use of the alleged perpetrator; calls for violent retribution; offensive remarks to other posters; and any comment which may impact on court proceedings.

Women from all backgrounds are counted but we make no assumptions about a woman's culture, lifestyle or circumstances. We often do not even know a name: this may be out of respect for cultural traditions or because of a court order. We add updated information to our annual registers as soon as it is received and verified.

You can access our updated current register and our historical registers on our dedicated page: https://tinyurl.com/y6ew3a8f

We maintain a separate register of โ€˜Undeterminedโ€™ deaths which we continue to monitor until a verifiable outcome is known. For reasons of privacy and legal responsibility this register is not made public. We are currently monitoring several deaths, some of which date back over months and years. We try to be accurate in our record, and we will not publish without a high degree of certainty, but we can't know the full circumstances of each death until court cases or coronial hearings are finalised. We do our best to maintain a full and accurate register, based on our recording criteria. If you know of any verified facts which may add detail to our record, please send us a **personal message**.

*Please note:* In at least 75 per cent of the cases reported from 2012 to 2023, the victim knew her alleged killer. We do not record only deaths attributed as domestic or family violence, as we believe all violent deaths targeted against women are the result of societal misogyny. We include women killed by other women (lateral violence). Their small but sad number confirms that most violence against women is perpetrated by men.

Destroyers, too soon we bring you news of another woman allegedly killed by targeted violence, with an attempt made to avoid justice. Again, available details are few; we will update our post and register as soon as verified facts are published.

Our Counting Dead Women campaign calls on all levels of government to institute a national, unified system for investigation, analysis and response to violence against women, to make a safer world for women and their children.
In support of that aim we continue our task of maintaining the most credible and substantiated record of women killed by violence in Australia. Once more we sadly update our register of known deaths due to violence against women in 2026, which now stands at 14.

On Thursday April 2nd, police received a report that a Dandenong woman, informally named as Eva Lasrini (53), was missing. On Saturday afternoon a womanโ€™s body was found near the Princes Freeway in Little River, southwest of Melbourne. The body, which is yet to be formally identified, is believed to be that of Ms Lasrini. Her ex-partner Allan Keys (67) was arrested at Melbourne Airport on Friday afternoon before he boarded an international flight. He has been charged with murder. Nothing further is known at present.
