Check your pets microchip!
That tiny little chip is what will see your pet returned to you. Check that your details are still up to date with the microchip company, as nothing is worse than egen a pet is handed in but the phone number on record is no longer connected. Make sure that doesn't happen to you!
And when you next take your pet in to the vet, ask them to scan your pet to make sure the microchip is still active (as like anything, they can sometimes stop working.)
It’s National Check Your Chip Day!
There probably aren't too many things more heartbreaking than losing a pet.
If your pet ever goes missing, and trust us, it happens often, their microchip could be the lifeline that gets them home, but only if the details are correct.
If you've moved house or changed phone number since your dogs were micro chipped , their details will need updating.
If you're not sure where your pet’s microchip is registered, visit petaddress.com.au with your chip number to find out.
If you don’t know their microchip number simply contact your vet who will have the number on file.
Please check your chip and spread the word.
