Every step forward matters.

No matter how small the progress may seem today, each step is building momentum, creating opportunities, and moving you closer to something greater. Growth rarely happens in giant leaps—it happens through consistent effort, patience, and persistence.

Keep going. The small steps you take today are the stepping stones to the future you’re working toward.

“Every step forward, no matter how small, becomes a stepping stone to something greater.” ✨

‼️ A 7.8‑magnitude earthquake has struck Mindanao in the Philippines, forcing thousands of people to evacuate the area.

Our ShelterBox Philippines team is in‑country, working to understand the situation. With emergency shelter supplies already pre‑positioned in Cebu, we’re ready to support families as aftershocks continue.

We’ve responded to earthquakes in the Philippines before - providing tarpaulins, shelter repair kits, solar lights, mosquito nets, blankets, and cash assistance so people can meet their own shelter needs.

You can help us be ready to respond. Donate today to support people affected by this earthquake and disasters around the world 👉 shelterboxaustralia.org.au/donate/

For more than 40 years, Australian Rotary Health has supported researchers, nurses, doctors, psychologists and future healthcare leaders across Australia.

That work has helped strengthen communities in ways that are sometimes highly visible - and sometimes quietly transformational:

• A scholarship that helps someone complete their studies.
• Research that helps families understand mental health earlier.
• Programs that improve access to support.
• And, healthcare professionals returning knowledge, care and leadership back into their communities.

This work has never happened overnight. It has been built steadily through people choosing to support something larger than themselves.

And as we move closer to the end of the financial year, that support continues to matter deeply. Because the next researcher. The next nurse. The next breakthrough. And the next strengthened community…

Will only happen if this work can continue.

Every donation over $2 is tax deductible.

❤️ TATIARA VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

It’s with great pleasure that we announce Chris Mackereth as the 2026 Tatiara Volunteer of the Year.

Chris is the very definition of community spirit. Through decades of quiet dedication, leadership, and compassion, she has made an extraordinary contribution to the Tatiara community.

Most notably, Chris played a leading role in bringing the Patient Transfer Facility and Helipad at the Bordertown Aerodrome to life — a project she carried from concept to completion in 2025. Thanks to her vision and persistence, patients, families, paramedics, and the RFDS now have a safe and dignified space during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Chris has also devoted countless hours to local organisations including the Rotary Club of Bordertown, Meals on Wheels, the Tatiara RFDS Support Group, community radio Connect FM, Probus, the Garden Club, and many more. Her service has strengthened local groups, created opportunities for others, and improved the lives of countless people across our region.

Chris leads with kindness, humility, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. For her outstanding service and lasting impact on our community.

Please join us in congratulating Chris!
