Ryder-Cheshire Mount Gambier Home Foundation

Our community-based charitable Foundation has so far built two homes for people living with a disability in the community. Each accommodates five residents.

The homes are leased to and managed by estara, formerly known as ParaquadSA and HomeCare+ Our Foundation was formed out of a desire to provide a caring, 'forever home' for people living with a disability in the community. As with all Ryder-Cheshire homes our guiding philosophy is the relief of suffering without discrimination. So far two homes have been built: Ryder and Cheshire. The Mount Gambie

r homes' names honour the co-founders of the Ryder-Cheshire Foundation. Our homes are leased to ParaQuadSA and managed by their service provider HomeCare+. Discussions have commenced for a possible third complex.

Residents, family members, estara staff and Ryder-Cheshire Mount Gambier Home Foundation Board members and partners have marked the end of another successful year for the charity's two homes. About 40 people attended today's Christmas get together at the Blue Lake Golf Links bistro. Board President Matthew Dixon made special mention of the contribution made by retiring board member Neville Gilbertson, and renovations planned at the Ryder residence in 2026. 🎄🎅️🎁😊

Thank you Neville Gilbertson OAM for 21 years of service to the Ryder-Cheshire Mount Gambier Home Foundation. Neville announced his retirement from the board at the AGM, where President Matthew Dixon and other board members praised his contribution. Neville was the inaugural president in 2004 and led the board until 2018, during which our current two homes were built. 👏🙂

It was great to catch up with our Patron, the Governor of South Australia, the Hon Frances Adamson AC, during her visit to on Monday. Her Excellency is pictured with Foundation President Matthew Dixon (right) and Treasurer Stuart Stansfield. 🙂🙏

Leoni Davis has joined the Board of Ryder-Cheshire Mount Gambier Home Foundation. As a business owner and the sister of Cheshire resident David Lockwood, Leoni brings new insights and a wealth of knowledge to our charity. Leoni (pictured centre at head of table alongside David in yellow top) was among relatives who met the Governor-General of Australia when she visited our homes last year. Welcome Leoni!🤝🙂
