What is a Pin Up Competition? A Pin Up Competition is recreating a Pin Up photograph or painting from the 1940/50's. Pin Up images can show emotion, strength and fun through their models stance and can create a snapshot from a story. Pin Up Competitions are a combination of poses that make up a story through clothing choice and props. Each pose is held for at least 4 seconds to emulate an image st
raight off the walls of a WW2 soldiers tent. Pin Up Competitions are fun, exciting and build confidence. If I entered into Miss Mount Evelyn, what do I need to do first? You will need to provide 2 images that are 1940s/50s inspired. These images will need to be of a good quality suitable for promotional purposes. Also a 100 words or less biography about yourself. You may want to mention your hobbies, work, things you like to do, family and so on. Remember to include your email address, so we can contact you. The deadline for all entries is the 15th of September. You can send your entries and images via messages on this page. What age do I have to be to enter? You must be 16 years and over to enter. We encourage mums and dads of all ages to give it a go. What happens after I put my entry in? Once the deadline has passed, all entries will be judged by the Mt Evelyn Street Party Committee. Due to time restraints, there will only be 8 Ladies and 8 Gentleman selected to participate in the Pin Up Competition on the day of the street party. Contestants will be announced via the Street party page and on this page. If I am selected, what would I have to do up on stage? You would need to dress in 1940/50 attire. This can be true vintage clothing, vintage inspired clothing or something you made. You will need to provide a short story line with 3 poses combined into the performance. You will also be asked a question on the day. Those contestants that are selected will receive more information about poses, story lines and the question required.
