🌟Bake & Barbie is almost here! 🌟

📍 Les Peart Oval (next to Mt Beauty Secondary College)
📅 Tomorrow - Saturday 16th May
⏰ We will be serving from 9am - 1pm

There's 3km, 10.6km, 21.1km events (starting at 10:10am) plus an 18km trail run (starting at 10am).

But whether you’re walking, running, cheering on the runners or just popping by, come grab something delicious and support a great local cause 💛

We’ll have:
🥓 Bacon, egg & relish rolls
🌭 Sausage sizzle
🧁 Savoury bites (muffins, pinwheels & more)
🍰 A HUGE range of baked treats - slices, cakes, biscuits, bliss balls… you name it!
🌱 Gluten & Dairy free options available

🎟️ Plus, don’t miss our raffle!
We’ve put together a raffle with some AMAZING prizes from our wonderful local businesses 🙏 Over $800 in total prize value!

Tickets will be available at the stall and drawn during presentations 💛 Check out our previous post for more info on the raffle.

Mount Beauty Playgroup is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit group supporting local families, with children aged 0-5. This fundraiser is a vital way we cover everyday costs like hall hire, insurance, and equipment.

Fundraiser: Raffle 🎊

Hopefully you've heard - Mt Beauty Playgroup will have the annual 'Bake & Barbie' fundraiser at the Mt Beauty Running Festival on Saturday morning. Sausage Sizzle, Bacon & Egg Rolls, and Bake Sale with a huge variety of sweet and savoury foods.

As part of the fundraising efforts, we also have a raffle with an AMAZING selection of local prizes, total value over $800!! 😲🙏

Tickets will be available at the Bake & Barbie stall (Les Peart Oval - behind the CFA) from 9am until 12:30 on Saturday.

The raffle will be drawn after presentations for the running festival (approx 12:50)

You don't need to be there to win, so if you can't make it on Saturday but want to purchase tickets, please reach out.

Welcome Back!! 🥳Playgroup sessions have started back today for term 2🤸‍♀️
Come and join us for a play at:

🏠 Lakeview Playgroup
📍 Flexible Learning Space, Lakeview Children’s Centre – Mt Beauty
🕤 Mondays | 9:30–11:00am
This session runs out of the Flexible Learning Space at Lakeview, which is also home to the Mt Beauty Toy Library. There are both indoor and outdoor play areas, with a wide range of toys - from baby toys, jungle animals and dress-ups, to cars, café stalls, sandpit toys and so much more 🚗🦒☕️

🤸 Playgroup on the Move
📍 Tawonga Hall
🕤 Tuesdays | 9:30–11:00am
This session is all about active play! Equipment encourages running, climbing, balancing and throwing. Think crawl-through tunnels, slides, climbing frames, see-saws, scooter boards, balance beams, foam building blocks, a small basketball ring, parachute games and more 🧗‍♀️⚽️🌈

🌿 Kiewa Wild Things (Bush Playgroup)
📍 Various locations around Mt Beauty
🕤 Fridays | 9:30–11:00am
Rain, hail or shine ☀️🌧️ we explore different natural spaces around Mt Beauty. Sessions usually include a short walk to a picnic spot for morning tea (BYO snacks, picnic rug provided), free play, and a simple activity or focus - like building a teepee from sticks, hunting for gnomes, or making pretend fishing rods 🪵🍃🎣
Total walking distance is usually 600m–1km. Some sessions are pram-friendly, and all are carrier/backpack-friendly. Locations are shared weekly in our WhatsApp chat - message us if you’d like the details.

We’re marking this milestone with a morning of reflection, celebration and community:
