Based the Great Southern of WA, the Mount Barker Sub-Branch provides wellbeing, welfare and advocacy support to serving and ex-service personnel of the Australian Defence Force and their families. Mount Barker R&SL Sub-Branch is the hub for returned and service people, their families and friends to meet, share and find information in relation to the Services. We offer a safe environment to meet an

Our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the Australian Army soldier who has sadly passed away following a training incident near Townsville.

This loss will be felt deeply by the entire Defence and veteran community across Queensland and Australia.

Whether in training or on deployment, this is a sobering reminder that members of our Defence Force put themselves in harm’s way every day to ensure our continued safety and security. Today, as we mourn this loss, we remember and honour their service to our nation.
