This Friday the 29th of May, Douglas Athletics will be selling raffle tickets at the Tin Shed Port Douglas to raise money to support Matt and his travel expenses leading into the Commonwealth Games!!
Tickets go on sale from 5:30 pm and the raffles are drawn at 6:30 pm. We hope to see the local community rally around Matt and his amazing achievement 🌟
As many already know Matt has just been selected in the Australian Athletics team to compete in seated shot put at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Matt has quite a few expenses leading into this major championships and the preparation involves travelling to the staging camp in Barcelona prior to entering the games village in Glasgow at the end of July.
We’d like to thank the Tin Shed for the opportunity to raise money for our local club and athletes 👏
